Renting a cello

The Loft Violin Shop has a fantastic rental program, in addition to a great selection of supplies and musical gear for cellists.

Looking to start music lessons but don’t have an instrument? I highly encourage ALL of my students to rent their first instruments from The Loft Violin Shop. They’re conveniently located in Clintonville and have the best rental policy in the state. They have full-size cellos, as well as a range of fractional size instruments for younger cellists (1/16th sized).

The Loft cello rentals are $40/month, and include all care and maintenance. Additionally, 100% of your monthly fee goes towards store credit to purchase an instrument at the store.

If you are ready to advance your cello playing to the next step, they have a wide range of student and professional cellos and bows. Did you know that instruments can vary widely in cost? Some can cost as much as a bicycle, car, and even house! The luthiers at the Loft Violin Shop are adept at helping to navigate and streamline the process of finding a new instrument, no matter what price range you’re in.
